The Server establishes a welcoming atmosphere from the minute they first greet guests at their table. The Server records and inputs accurate food and beverage orders, delivers beverage orders while demonstrating exemplary guest service skills. This position requires individuals with the ability to be service-minded and committed to providing outstanding guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Greet guests immediately as they arrive at their tables
Work with bartenders in order to process drinks orders
Complete all bussing attendant duties when required
Must be able to develop strong cashier skills - handling cash and credit cards in a safe and accurate manner and be proficient in counting money, providing guests with change whenever needed. Able to count and balance working bank
Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule
Know and abide by all provincial liquor laws
Know and comply with all company policies and procedures
Report to work on time and in complete uniform
Other duties as assigned
Status and Scope:
Reports to the Green and White Lounge Supervisor and the Food Service Manager
Must be able to work efficiently prepared to help wherever needed
Qualifications:
Outgoing personality and friendly manner
Must meet provincial age requirements to serve alcohol (19 years old)
Must complete SIRS and TEAM certification
Must be fluent in the English language both spoken and written
Minimum of 1-2 years Serving experience is preferred
Food and Beverage Serving Skills
- Advise on menu selections
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
