Description

New Start-up Company is currently seeking a Bookkeeper on a full time, permanent basis. The Bookkeeper position was previously posted but is still accepting applicants while the last submissions are being processed.  
Duties (may include but will not be limited too)
    Develop positive working relationship with clients and staff, via email, phone and face to face
    Work with time budgets, monitor progress to budgets and meet deadlines.
    Assist with tax season and the preparation of personal and corporate returns
    Assist, prepare and submit documentation for HST, and payroll audits.
    Monthly, quarterly and annual bookkeeping, including accounts payable, payroll, HST, Source Deduction and WSIB remittances
       Identify and propose solutions for internal accounting issues
    Maintain regular contact with government authorities, clients, employees, and management
    Account reconciliations and preparation of both monthly and year-end financial statements.
    Managing the invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
    Tracking and entering all work orders, payments, and invoices through QuickBooks
    Filing, Faxing, Photocopying,
    Tracking incoming mail and ensuring packages are received, noted and forwarded immediately to the right people
    General office support, maintaining office organization and efficiency


Requirements
    Minimum 2 year College Diploma specializing in Accounting
    Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
    Accounting designation is considered an asset but not a requirement
    Advanced / Expert knowledge and considerable hands on use of QuickBooks
    Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products
    High proficiency with MS Excel
    Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast paced environment
    Excellent written and verbal communication
    Drivers license and access to a vehicle
    Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
