Job Description: DSMs have a responsibility to promote positive change within the organization through constructive criticism, diligent problem solving and persistent pursuit of quality in all aspects of the operation. This position reports directly to the National Sales & Marketing Manager. The successful candidates responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Conducting annual territory planning
Reporting weekly confirming the execution of the plan and evidencing prevalent market knowledge and presence in the given territory
Participating in new business development
Executing corporate contracts
Meeting all required deadlines
Providing a high level, quality and quantity, of communication
Providing technical support, Logistics and Production
Being professional and timely with customer services
Having close contact and support with Inside Sales team mentality
Exercising effective negotiation skills selling value first over price
Managing all aspects of business including inventory support, pricing review and technical support
Proactively seeking new opportunities
Qualifications:
Familiarity with sprockets, bearings, engineering chains etc. is considered an asset
Preference will be given to candidates with technical or industrial sales experience
Education and Experience:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to present the company in a professional manner
The ability to multi task and react quickly as the result of ever changing customer demands
Be personally motivated and able to provide creative thought
Good analytical skills including full proficiency with Microsoft Word applications
Possess presentation and conflict management skills
Willing to travel as required
