Description

Weyburn Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced marketing professional. Reporting directly to the CEO, the AVP of Marketing will be responsible for the overall marketing, advertising, public relations, and community image campaigns of the Credit Union. The AVP of Marketing will ensure that all efforts support the corporate strategy and specific business development campaigns. This role will also design and monitor all corporate communications ensuring the dissemination of a consistent creative image and message.  

Qualifications:
- University degree majoring in marketing plus a minimum 5-7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of job related experience in a management/senior role. Preference will be given to those candidates with related experience in the credit union system or financial services industry.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, mentor, and motivate a team of marketing professionals.
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to prepare marketing proposals with a blend of focused research, strategy, and creativity.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with staff, members, and community.
- Executive level public speaking skills/facilitation skills.
- Superb writing, content development, and editing skills.
- Team player with flexible and adaptable work style.
- Proven success as a coach and mentor who can develop and motivate employees, board, members, community, and external groups.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
