Job Summary
This position requires a dedicated, self-motivated and goal oriented individual who has a genuine passion for cooking. Working with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and line cooks, the successful candidate will effectively communicate and coordinate with the kitchen brigade to prepare, cook and present great food. This position also requires preparation for lunch and help other cooks threw the lunch service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and service all breakfast menu items using the recipes and production standards as per the Executive Chef
Monitor all food leaving the kitchen to ensure it surpasses established standards of quality and presentation
Ensure compliance with all Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area; as part of a team, ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, fridges, freezers and storage areas.
Any other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
Previous culinary experience in cooking fish, poultry, pasta and meats is an asset.
Must be creative and innovative in food presentations, committed to quality.
Safe Food Handling Certificate and WHMIS would be considered an asset.
Reliable and excellent attitude.
Dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.
Able to work in a face paced environment.
Able to work in a group environment in a full service kitchen.
