Description

ERCO Worldwide, a division of Superior Plus LP, is a global commodity chemicals company headquartered in Toronto, ON. It is the leading provider of chlorine dioxide technology and one of the world's leading suppliers of sodium chlorate and sodium chlorite.  Its chloralkali products are used in the water treatment and pulp and paper industries.

Summary: This position provides the scoping, cost estimation and installation of maintenance projects. The incumbent will utilize a holistic approach to include knowledge and sharing of best practices,ensuring the utmost commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance:  Demonstrates personal leadership in plant safety and environmental initiatives.  Ensures project compliance with construction, engineering, safety & environmental regulations. Leads Safety/Process related incident investigations for Contractors.  Champions Plant Housekeeping for contractors.  
Maintenance Planning:  Supports full utilization of MOC system for plant modifications.  Minimizes plant down time due to scheduling of assigned maintenance or capital project activities.  Supports daily troubleshooting and cost effective resolutions.  Leads major maintenance projects.
Project/Reliability Engineering:  Plans and implements Capital and Maintenance Projects.   Supervision of field activities to support adherence to safety & environmental compliance.  

Minimum Requirements
* The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree or other technical training. * Minimum 3-5 years experience in plant maintenance & operations and project engineering. * Strong communication, team & time management skills. * Management/Supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is preferred. * Acumen in mechanical & electrical aspects of maintenance is also preferred.
