Proactively lead safety management practices by actively observing, discussing, reporting and correcting, as required, safety related items identified through safety observations, work practice inspections, safe work permit audits, and hazard assessment reviews.
Ensure clear communication of project objectives, including scope, schedule and budget, for projects assigned to departmental staff and monitor project management activities to ensure compliance with required project controls. Provide guidance and coaching necessary to resolve project related issues as they arise.
Facilitate interaction and coordination with Enbridge departments such as Regulatory Affairs, Aboriginal Affairs, Compliance, and Environment as well as other project stakeholders to ensure that assigned projects align with corporate goals and objectives.
Provide support to Project Development & Controls through project development and by leading and encouraging continuous improvement of project management practices, procedures and tools. Contribute to the development and delivery of necessary training and support for those practices, procedures and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience, with prior experience related to operations engineering and/or project management of large, complex projects.
Eligible for membership in Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) or Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists & Technicians (SASTT).
Familiarity with CSA Z662, National Energy Board Onshore Pipeline Regulations, and Saskatchewan and Manitoba Provincial legislation.
