Description

Supported Independent Living Program Worker (1.50-AZ68) Several Positions
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1.    Work one on one with individuals and their families/supports to determine which areas of life can be enhanced through support
2.    Create a work plan and a weekly schedule with each individual.  Be flexible and responsive to each individual's needs
3.    Meet with each individual at scheduled times and provide support and assistance to accomplish whatever goal/activity is planned for that day
4.    Collaborate with other community resources, develop community contacts and continually explore new opportunities for the individual in the community
5.    Track and manage your own time and activities
6.    Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
Qualifications:
-Post secondary education in a related field is an asset
-Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families/supports
-Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and barriers to support
-Sensitivity and compassion for others
-Excellent problem solving and communication skills
-Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills
-Valid driver's license and the use of your own reliable vehicle
-Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
