Description

MLTC is seeking individuals for the purpose of establishing a Child & Family Services (CFS) Resource Pool for: Child Protection/Prevention Workers, Child Enhancement Workers, and Alternate/Foster Care Facilitators.

DUTIES:

- The successful candidates will work as part of the MLTC CFS Team in providing direct services in family support, and prevention/protection to children and their families.
- They will be sensitive, compassionate and professional in all areas relating to CFS Program needs, issues and concerns.
- They will apply a holistic approach to individual, family, and community healing/development by honoring and being knowledgeable about the inner-connectedness of the emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical aspects.
- They will also oversee the development/implementation of prevention, child protection, and family support service initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- The applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work/Indian Social Work.
- Must have relevant course work in family related studies, child and youth development, child maltreatment/abuse, solution focused therapy, family systems theory, attachment disorder, substance abuse issues, etc.
- They must possess knowledge of child/community development and be able to formulate/document family assessments, case plans, program plans, etc.  
- They must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and personal wellness.
- They must be willing to work flexible hours, experienced in computer applications, and have excellent communication skills.
- Having child protection experience and the ability to speak Cree/Dene are definite assets.
