The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides excellence in care, housing, and community services within a nurturing Christian environment.  

The Position:
The Summer Labourer duties include but are not limited to mowing, weed trimming, weeding, raking, watering, sweeping, exterior painting, and site cleanup.

The Summer Labourer will work out of the Luther Special Care Home, 1212 Osler Street (129 bed nursing home) and will work 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00-4:30) Tuesday to Friday with some flexibility. The salary will be $15 per hour. The start date for this position is Tuesday June 16th until Friday August 8; there will be flexibility to the start/end date subject to whether the successful applicant is in high school or post-secondary.

The Applicants:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada, enrolled at the time of employment at a secondary or post-secondary school or institution and returning to full-time studies after the period of their employment. Students not returning to full time studies are not eligible under this program. This position is approved through the Summer Student Works Program and is available to First Nations, Mtis or Inuit students only.  

Sufficient practical experience to perform the duties is required and experience working with seniors is an asset. Applicants must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently and must be physically able to perform duties.
