Job/Position Summary:
Automotive Service Advisors are responsible for tracking customers' auto repairs and their causes, scheduling technicians, processing warranties and taking payments.
Work Performed:
- Provide excellent and prompt customer service
- Obtaining and providing customer contact telephone numbers
- Answering customer questions and concerns
- Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required
- Scheduling appropriate work for the technicians
- Processing part warranties
- Processing payments
- Keeping a neat and tidy work area ( included the shop)
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and follow employees
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- General knowledge of automotive maintenance
- General knowledge of computers
- Maintain an organized work area
- Organized, punctual and reliable
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Calm, pleasant and helpful manner
- Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations
- Ability to problem solve and take instructions
- Well groomed appearance
Qualifications:
- An open availability as this position combines days, evenings and weekend shifts
- Means of transportation
- Willingness of work hard and learn
- Automotive knowledge is a definite asset but is not an absolute requirement
- Basic math and keyboarding skills.
- Good working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
- Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre, is considered an asset.
- Valid class 5 driver's license
