The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Academic position for a quantitatively oriented Behavioural/Social Scientist starting as early as possible in 2015-16.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Behavioural Science, Epidemiology, Nursing, Psychology, Public Health, Sociology or a related health field from a recognized University. They should also have knowledge and demonstrated use of a variety of statistical methodologies and be conversant with a statistical application programs such as SPSS, SAS, STATA etc. Candidates will be prioritized according to their publication record and external funding and collaboration. Candidates having three to five years of experience in a team-based research environment, particularly in the fields of psychiatry and/or mental health research, will also be given higher priority. The academic rank will be commensurate with the qualifications, previous academic performance and experience of the candidate.
Expectations of the position will be directed by the Departmental guidelines that apply to a Scientist career path and will focus on clinical psychiatric/ mental health research in the department of Psychiatry.
Salary bands for this post are as follows: Assistant Professor $88,798 - $106,708; Associate Professor $106,708 - $124,618; and Professor $124,618 - $145,513.
