Description

A Full time Live-in Caregiver is required for 4 children.
(This position is posted as "live-in" however "live in" is not a requirement for employment
Provincial hourly wage offered- $12.50/hr
Care is in employers private home.

Main duties

Caregiver is to perform the following duties:
    Supervise and care for children in employer's residence and may reside in employer's home (live in accommodation is optional at no charge and is not a condition of employment)
    Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
    Prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
    Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
    Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
    Tend to the emotional well-being of children
    Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
    Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
    Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
    Take children to and from school and to appointments
    Maintain a healthy environment in the home
    May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.


Employment requirements
    Completion of secondary school.
    require completion of a training program in child care or a related field.
    Child-care or household management experience required.
    Demonstrated ability to perform work is usually required.
    First aid certification is an asset but not required
