QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree from Human Service field. One to two years counselling experience. Good written & oral interpersonal communication skills. Valid drivers license & available vehicle. Must provide a recent clear criminal record check and a child abuse record check.

Adhere to CBO directives & follow Centre policy
Work harmoniously, in a team environment, with board members, staff, volunteers, community agencies, & general public
Maintain excellence of service to clients
Develop & maintain a good public perception of the Centre
Keep accurate & up-to-date records
Maintain confidentiality
DUTIES
Offer support & counseling to victims of sexual abuse/assault & their families & significant others.
Act as an advocate on clients' behalf
Maintain client records
Keep updated on law reform, current events, techniques & developments regarding sexual assault
Keep statistics
Assist with volunteer programs as required
Be on call as required
Provide prevention education &/or inservice to community agencies, schools and general public, as required
Assist with preparation, publication & distribution of educational material to community agencies, volunteers, students, membership & general public
Assist with planning & participate in fund-raising activities for the Centre
Perform other duties from time to time as required by the Executive Director
SKILLS
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Interest in capacity building & community development
Ability to develop positive working relationships with other professionals
High degree of initiative
