Description

For almost 100 years, the SRNA has set high standards for nursing education, practice, and registration across the province. To continue this tradition, and advance the role of the nursing profession in healthcare and support quality, competent nursing care in Saskatchewan, the Association is seeking the leadership of a dynamic and strategic registered nurse as the next Executive Director.

Reporting to the Council and working within a policy governance framework, you champion the interests of the nursing profession and lead the professional regulation of registered nursing to ensure accountable, safe, competent, and compassionate care in the public interest. As the face of SRNA, your vision and advocacy skills enable you to effectively work with government, stakeholders, partners, and the wider public to represent the RNs and NPs across Saskatchewan in an evolving health care system. With well-developed skills in relationship building, you establish and nurture provincial and national partnerships and effectively manage conflict.

With a sound understanding of operations, finance, and budgeting, you oversee operations and lead and motivate staff.  In addition, you advise SRNAs standing and ad hoc committees, oversee policy development and priority setting, and create and ensure the execution of strategic operational plans. You are forward thinking, on top of emerging trends, issues, and challenges affecting the regulation of the profession and the delivery of quality care, and take an active role in problem-solving and strategic planning at the provincial and national level.

Eligible for registration with SRNA, holding a Masters Degree, and knowledgeable in working with a Board/Council, you bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in nursing in a variety of practice settings and progressive and diverse experience in management and leadership to the position.
