Counselling Responsibilities:
Individual, couple, and family counselling.
Group facilitation, program development and community/professional presentations.
Familiarity with community resources in order to make appropriate referrals.
Continuing professional development
Attending and participating in group supervision.
Meeting with the Manager of Clinical Services for individual supervision.
Completion of statistics and necessary client forms.
Representing CFS on community committees when necessary.
Group Facilitation:
Developing, updating, reviewing, and revising group material as appropriate.
Group facilitation
Presentations to community groups and organizations
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, or other related field. A Masters degree would be an asset.
Knowledge must include theories and practices of counselling.
Ability to facilitate psycho-educational groups
Presentation skills
Ability to contribute to the content of funding applications as requested by the senior leadership team.
