Qu'Appelle Beef, a federally licensed beef processing facility, is an equal opportunity employer currently seeking a Class 2 Water Treatment Operator, for its facility in Neudorf Saskatchewan. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits for the qualified candidate. The role will require building and machine maintenance
Duties:
Maintain the treatment plant systems
Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes
Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water
intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchangers and valves
Arrange for major repairs
Inspect the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations
Requirements:
excellent mechanical skills
ability to operate and maintain water and sewer equipment and systems
water sampling and testing technique
Completion of secondary school is required.
College or industry training courses in chemistry, pollution control or related subjects are required.
Certification in water treatment and distribution Levels II
Certification in wastewater collection and wastewater treatment Level II
Certification in workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS), transportation of dangerous goods (TDG), and courses in safety practices are an asset.
