Description

Cote First Nation is searching for a Project Manager / Housing Renovations.  This temp role (June 1, 2015 to November 30, 2015) will report directly the Housing Director and will be responsible for managing and coordinating full scope of housing renovations on the Cote First Nation.

You will;
    Plan and coordinate multiple renovation construction projects.
    Manage execution of projects with approximately 80% of time spent on site and approximately 20% of time spent in the office.
    Oversee the assignment of work to approximately 5 to 20 staff members to effectively utilize resources and meet commitments to customers.
    Assist with the review of all home renovation contracts, purchase orders, and work authorizations regarding proposed scope of work, Directors expectations, and project objectives.
    Work within allotted time constraints to complete project deliverables.
    Generate and ensure all project documentation is technically correct and meets the Cote First Nation housing minimum performance standards.
    Ensure that work order sheets are accurately prepared and submitted to Director.
    Assist Director to ensure budget goals are met.
    Develop, organize and maintain housing specifications / standards by consolidating and assimilating best operating practices.
    Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

    Journeyperson Construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Housing Construction industry experience.
    Construction Management experience would be ideal
    Direct or indirect supervisory experience required.
    Project management training would be considered an asset.
