Description

Fortis Mining and Engineering is currently seeking applicants for the following positions for various locations in Saskatchewan. These will be contract positions and involve shiftwork.
These positions will promote a safe workplace by ensuring all work under Fortis' control is performed safely by adhering to the highest of industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- prepare layouts
- measure, cut, shape, assemble wood materials
- build and install platforms, scaffolding, ramps and ladders
- concrete work including setting forms and footings, tying rebar, installing wire mesh and filling forms with concrete
-determine specifications and calculate requirements
- job task planning and organizing
- read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- operate hand and power tools
- able to work in all weather conditions (extreme heat/cold/rain)
- may perform other related duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- working at heights
- physically fit
- workers must be hydrated
- physically demanding
- PPE - Hard Hat/Work Boots/Safety Glasses
IDEAL CANDIDATES:
-experienced Apprentice or Journeyman
-experience in carpentry and construction
-experience in concrete work
