Care4one is requiring a personal care attendant for a quadriplegic man to assist with daily living duties. These include, but are not limited to, exercise routine, dressing/undressing, transferring between bed/wheelchair and wheelchair/commode, personal hygiene (showering, dental care, personal grooming), assisting with self-catheterization and occasional suppository administration, meal preparation and light household duties as needed. A 45 minute video of the duties required is available for viewing.
The successful candidate would ideally have previous personal care attendant experience but not a requirement, good communications skills, be physically fit, possess a caring and empathetic attitude, take direction well, be respectful of family members and maintain the home in a tidy manner. Confidentiality between the caregiver and family members is a firm requirement, together with reliability and dependability.
The position will provide ten to fifteen hours weekly, depending on availability. Hourly pay would be commensurate with experience and is negotiable
