  $31.868 to $38.965 (5 step range)

Job Summary:
  The Patient Safety Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of KPO/Quality and Safety.  It is essential that this position consults and follows the recommendations of the Infection Control & Prevention Program. Responsible for the Prairie North Hand Hygiene Initiative which includes, but is not limited to, providing guidance and direction to the hand hygiene auditors/observers.

Qualifications:
  Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a health sciences related field.
  Valid Drivers License

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  Ability to work in a team setting
  Computer skills
  Skilled in developing, delivering and evaluating adult education in regards to compliance with infection prevention and control standards
  Knowledge of Quality Improvement methods to improve health care
  Working knowledge of the RAI-HC Assessment Tool

Additional Text:
  This position requires extensive regional travel and possibly overnight stays
  This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension
