The following position is hereby posted in accordance with Article 9 of the Collective Agreement between Saskatchewan Government Employees Union and Rainbow Youth Centre.
Description: Working as part of a team, under the supervision of the Director of Programming and in keeping with the policies, practices and philosophy of Rainbow Youth Centre, this position is responsible to coordinate all aspects of development, delivery, and evaluation of the Youth Skills Program, including and not limited to, registrations, record keeping, facilitation, staff training and supervision.
Qualifications:
4 years combined education/experience relevant to the position.
Experience facilitating groups and an understanding of group dynamics and development. (Minimum 2 years)
Experience working with at-risk adolescents age 11-19 years.
Experience supervising staff. (Minimum 1year experience)
Ability to train staff in facilitating education based curriculum.
Understanding of the Youth Justice System.
Strong verbal skills.
Strong written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to write program reports and complete record keeping. Testing will be done in this area as it is important to the program (a pass is required).
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Able to work flexible hours (evenings until 9:30pm).
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License. (non- probationary)
Remuneration: $18.33 per hour starting wage plus a comprehensive benefits package.
