CFS Child Protection/Prevention/Alternate Care Supervisor

MLTC Child & Family Services is seeking a dynamic highly skilled individual to fill the full-time permanent position of Child Protection/Prevention/Alternate Care Supervisor.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely within the Child & Family Services Team to supervise and support the ongoing development of a broad range of child protection/prevention/alternate care resources for children, families and communities of the Meadow Lake First Nations.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor of Social Work Degree/Bachelor of Indian Social Work Degree and relevant employment experience and training.
- Possess three (3) to five (5) years of experience supervising a team of employees.
- Will have extensive knowledge of PRIDE Training, Foster Care, Alternate Care, and PSI Homes.
- Effective in case management/consultations/reviews; collaboration with communities and respective agencies involved in/with the MLTC CFS Program.
- Be knowledgeable in the dynamics of child abuse/neglect, family violence, addictions, poverty, and oppression.
- Must have excellent assessment skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications (i.e. AIS Database; MS-Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- They must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and personal wellness.
- Knowledge and understanding of MLTC and First Nation history, cultures, and values.
- Ability to speak Cree / Dene is considered a valuable asset.
