Description

The Education Casual [EC] works within the Education department to provide support and supervision to the client in a vocational setting.  The EC helps guide education/vocation routines while implementing behavioural and meaningful life skill strategies.  The EC will assist the client to meet their individual education goals and create a safe, structured, and comfortable learning environment.  Although the EC is assigned to a specific education program, s/he will work in other classrooms or programs as needed.  Hours of work are Monday to Friday and may vary pending work location.  This position may be required to work with little notice.

Education
- Teacher Assistant Certificate or certificate related to youth education, residential treatment, vocational training, and/or specialized care aid or related discipline.

Experience
- Minimum of one to three years of related youth education, special education, youth care/personal support or related human services experience.
- Staff must hold a class 5 novice 2 or higher drivers license and be eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy.

Starting wage is $18.27 to $21.60 per hour depending on experience and education.
