Do you have full cycle accounting experience and would like to work in a lively upbeat environment?

Our customer is looking for an accounting clerk to join their successful transport company. This is initially a 3 month term position with the possibility for a permanent role for the right candidate.

As accounting clerk you will report to the Director of Financial and you will perform a variety of accounting tasks such as:-

Financial Accounting and Reporting - assist with developing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports with the ability to spot errors.  Assist with the preparation of year end transactions and participate in external audit/review process.

Cash and Banking - responsible for monitoring cash accounts, forecasting daily cash flow and creating banking transactions, including transfers, wires and EFT payments as required. prepare bank reconciliations.

Payroll Preparation and Administration - process payroll for all drivers and shop employees to ensure all employees and owner operators are paid accurately and promptly. Process and submit all statutory and benefit remittances, to ensure compliance with CRA standards. Assist with the processing of applications for the employee benefit program.

Accounts Payable - input all payable invoices, produce payments and assist with the preparation of invoices for trucking orders and transmit receivable invoices to factoring company as applicable.

Skills & Competencies
Have full cycle accounting knowledge/experience
Ideally you would have used Axon or Truckmate in the past.
Detail oriented
Ability to meet tight monthly deadlines in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
Good math skills
Able to work in a team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft office especially Excel

Perks:
Full Time
$15 - $17 per hour
Weekly Pay
