Description

FCL invites applications for the position of Senior Accountant - Fuel Tax in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Please note this is a term position for up to six (6) months with the possibility of extension or may lead to permanent.

Reporting to the Commodity Tax Supervisor, the Senior Accountant - Fuel Tax is responsible for:
1.Prepare monthly federal and provincial fuel tax returns.
2.Handle correspondence between department, retails and government.
3.Prepare and file ecology returns as assigned.
4.Complete monthly Fuel Accountability reporting for all jurisdictions as required.
5.Assist the Co-operative Refinery Complex accounting department with federal and provincial renewable fuel reporting.
6.Other duties as assigned.

The successful applicant will possess a Univeristy degree in Commerce or Business Administration or a diploma from a recognized post secondary institution with a major in accounting, plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with a major in accounting and previous tax administration experience.
