The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is now hiring an:
Early Childhood Programmer
Monday Friday (20-35 hours per week)
Wage: $14.00 - $17.50
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education courses or equivalent education
Understanding of the developmental needs of children ages 0 5 years
Understanding of normative developmental theories
CPR and first aid training
Experience working with children
Creative, energetic, and ability to work well with others
Must clear a national criminal record check
Assets:
Working knowledge of both French and English
Valid Saskatchewan drivers licence
Job Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and guidance of daily, and special activities
Assist in maintaining administration records
Maintain day care supplies and equipment
Assist with subsequent training
Plan and develop childcare activity programs
Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Diaper and feed infants and toddlers
Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Guide children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Prepare and serve snacks
Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play, sensory play and music
Assist in various MFRC Special Events
Facilitate Parents and Tots program
Will be added to the Emergency childcare Services call out list.
