Description

The Parts Counter Person receives and processes orders in person or by telephone. He/she performs a variety of clerical duties, including providing price quotations, checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers and verifying prices. The Parts Counter Person prepares and maintains the sales order master file, customer lists, and purchase orders with receipts and makes routine decisions according to company policies and guidelines. Other responsibilities will include ensuring the cleanliness, safety and accessibility of the store for customers and employees.

Job Duties
Assist with shipping and receiving, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
Placing customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

Automotive parts knowledge a definite asset.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Attention to detail in all areas of work.
