The Co-op Refinery Complex, located in Regina, Saskatchewan, is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Section Supervisor.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with Engineering to identify, qualify, select, manage, and evaluate contractors and vendors of materials, equipment, products, and/or services for specialized buys, as well as purchasing, renting, and coordinating goods and services for the annual Turnaround. Additional responsibilities include maintaining appropriate inventory levels for CRC spare parts and consumables, and assisting in the development and implementation of the CRC Purchasing/Stores strategic plan, and coordinating and overseeing the activities of the Purchasing Assistants and Purchasing Agents.
Candidates must have a Grade XII diploma with a preferred post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required, preferably in an industrial environment. The completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional designation, or certificate in Purchasing from PMAC would be an asset. Specialized training in transportation and logistics would need to be obtained once in role, if not already held.
