Key Responsibilities Include:
Document on a daily, weekly and monthly basis all sales opportunities and customer visits made in customer relationship management system
Assist in planning, setup and participation at events such as trade shows, appreciation nights, product knowledge seminars and home shows
Maintain contact with customers (based on sales volume) and build solid relationships with them and their associates/successors
Monitors inventory, orders and fill rates with store inventory associates and cross references internally; collaborate with production and customer service to develop a plan to address any gaps or issues
Prepare quotes on projects and present to potential customers
Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and participate in ongoing learning opportunities
Investigate complaints to bring a positive and fair resolution while preserving the relationship with the customer
Assess market information and trends to anticipate sales and develop a plan to support market growth
Collect feedback from customers and key industry contacts; shares information with sales team and management for strategic planning purposes
Ensures inventory of marketing literature (catalogues, brochures, etc.) is maintained
Abilities:
High School Diploma
Applicable post-secondary education such as Marketing Diploma, or other applicable education
Minimum of 5 years experience in an outside sales role (experience in the manufacturing industry is considered an asset)
Extensive knowledge of selling techniques (including closing)
Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills
Experience using SalesForce.com is an asset
PC skills within the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Valid Drivers License and passport are required
