This position is essential to SaskPowers basic operations and meets the Saskatchewans government hiring direction.
SaskPower is looking for an Engineer, Engineering Protection & Control who will be responsible for the development, design, installation/ commissioning support and operational technical support of protection and recording systems to ensure adequate protection and safe operation of the electrical facilities. This includes the prevention or limiting of damage to equipment and maintaining effective customer service.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering specializing in power systems; must be eligible for professional membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and, possess experience in power system engineering field and have experience with the application of protective relaying systems on transmission and generation facilities. Candidates must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
