Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Information Management the Regional Manager of Health Information Services & Client/ Patient Registration is responsible for advising and implementing the strategic direction for the Health Information Services department, including Medical Transcription, and the regional patient/ client registration system (ADT/CPI) for the Kelsey Trail Regional Health Authority. The incumbent will manage the regional departments consistent with the Mission, Philosophy, and Goals and Objectives of the Regional Health Authority. Responsiblities include the planning, budgeting, policy development, administration and management of the departments throughout the Kelsey Trail Health Region. Ensuring and maintaining the integrity and maintenance of the patients/clients health information and Client/Patient Registration information systems are a priority.
Education:
- Baccalaureate degree in Health Information Management or equivalant experience in Health Information Management at a supervisory/management level and a diploma graduate from a recognized and approved Health Information Services program.
- Certified member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association
Experience:
- 5 years in administrative and related business experience
- 2-3 years managerial experience
- Experience with coding and abstracting as well as registration systems
