Sunrise Health Region requires an additional Family Physician for the Town of Esterhazy. Physicians must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and must maintain active membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Position Summary and Geographic Information:
This position works primarily out of the rural area in a private group practice; the medical clinics are modern, well organized and fully equipped. On call coverage at the local hospital emergency room is required on a rotational basis, about 1 week per month. Services may also be provided to the local long term care home and surrounding communities within the health region.
Esterhazy is a vibrant community located in the east central part of the province of Saskatchewan, with a population of over 2,500 and services a trading area of approximately 10,000. The Town of Esterhazy is about a one hour drive from the City of Yorkton and is nicknamed the Potash Capital of the World.
The Sunrise Health Region currently provides the following specialty services at the Yorkton Regional Hospital, which is the referral centre: Obstetrics/Gynecology Ophthalmology - General Surgery Medical Health Officer Radiology Anesthesiology Pediatrician Psychiatry - Internal Medicine
