Rural Location:  NE of Grenfell, Sask.

Qualifications:

Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Social Worker
Must have current Association Registration.

- No experience related to EAP necessary, but must be willing to take the training and become Certified in the Eagala model of EAP/EAL within one (1) year
- Criminal Record Check required

Job Description:

- To co-facilitate, with an Eagala certified Equine Specialist, Eagala model equine assisted therapy sessions.
Job Knowledge/Responsibilities:
    Responsible for clinical intakes
    Responsible for treatment of children, adults and families
    Responsible for case management of clients
    Responsible for emotional safety of client
    Responsible for accurate and timely documentation and chart compliance
    Understanding of EAGALA ethics, standards and practices
    Understanding and staying current in best practices of mental health
    Collaborate with ES regarding pre and post planning, treatment goals, session debriefing, horse and activity selection for EAP/EAL activities
    Participate in program development
    Conduct public tours as requested
    Conduct presentations as requested
    Work closely with assigned EAGALA supervisor
    Maintain EAGALA certification
    Other duties as assigned

Complexity:
Duties can be complex and varied. There is a high demand for problem solving skills. Requires excellent team work skills. Requires the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate facility usage and schedules with other staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
