MHPSC is a major supplier of custom welding, machining, assembly, and field services to the energy industry in Canada and around the world.
Responsibilities:
Promote a safe working environment
Responsible for executing MHPSC projects per contract requirements, including safety, scope, schedule, and cost
Manage the art of project management; communication, project leadership, team development, decision making, stakeholder relationship management, problem solving and change control
Manage the science of project management; development of project plans, work breakdown structures, project schedules, control project cost, variance analysis, establishment of project metrics, earned value, project procurement, risk management and status reporting
Customer interface on assigned projects
Responsible to identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) opportunities for project execution
Work in collaboration with production leadership, Engineering, QA, Scheduling, and Supply Chain Management during project execution
Releasing of work order packages to project team members
Issuing of production instructions to manufacturing for project execution
Lead improvement opportunities for enhanced project benefit realization
Requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or combination of experience and education
PMP certification is an asset
At least 3 to 7 years of related experience
Ability to communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers and suppliers
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people in different departments
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and manage projects
Strong business acumen and technical savvy
Solid problem solving skills
Knowledge and experience with business MRP/ERP systems is an asset
