Description

Our client, a leading Saskatchewan based grain processing plant is currently hiring a Qualified Production Hand/Agriculture Assistant to join their team in Regina.  You will be responsible for:

- Mixing product according to formula.  
- Operating equipment according to the procedure.
- Ensuring equipment is running efficiently and at appropriate temperature to produce quality products.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintaining equipment.
- Periodically checking batches to ensure quality is consistently maintained.
- Performing general housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining accurate and timely shift reports.

Education:
- Grade 12.
- Additional agriculture/production training is an asset.

Experience:
- Farming or agricultural background is an asset.
- Previous experience working with farm equipment and augers.
- Experience in a food processing facility or warehouse is an asset, along with forklift operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.

Personality/Desired attributes:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethics (farm work ethics; from a farm background or interest in agriculture); willing and open to learn.
- Be part of a team yet can work alone.  Good communications and written skills.
- Shift work REQUIRED (pay differential paid out).
- Not afraid of heights or allergic to grain dust.
- Ability to identify problems and come up with a solution.
