TRON requires two motivated and career-minded Estimators who have experience working in the mechanical and electrical trade. The position requires attention to details, problem solving, excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan a construction job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for industrial projects.
Prepare material, labour and equipment cost estimates according to the scope of work, plans, and specifications.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
Be able to apply safety and quality standards for each job.
Ensure requests for quotes are submitted on time.
Flexibility to travel to job sites as needed.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Perform problem solving quickly and concisely.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ten years of varying industrial field experience in the mechanical or electrical trade is required.
Mathematical skills and analytical skills are necessary to do the estimates and to interpret cost reports.
Effective verbal and listening communications skills and a strong management of time are required.
Computer skills are essential and familiarity with software estimating packages would be a benefit.
Ability to work in an office environment
Location:Saskatoon and Periodic Mine Site Visits
Work Hours:40 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and relevant work experience
