Save the customer's day, every day by being one of OTV's knowledgeable service technicians. Remove viruses, diagnose hardware and OS/driver issues, recover data after a crash, and address the customer's questions to their satisfaction. Empower the customers whenever possible. You don't have to be a geek, but it helps!
Essential skills and abilities:
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (verbal & written)
- strong computer troubleshooting knowledge:
- hardware
- networking (hardware, protocols, Windows configuration)
- Microsoft software platforms and applications (ie: Windows XP/Vista/7/8)
- disaster recovery operations
- strong time management abilities help you excel in this field
- can work in a fast-paced, team environment
- effective research skills
- critical thinking skills
- bondable and insurable
Candidates should have at least one of:
- customer service experience for:
* over the phone
* over the counter
* on-site experience is an asset
- applicable certifications:
* CompTIA A+
