The Rural Municipality of Buckland No. 491 is a diverse municipality providing infrastructure to its entire community including agricultural, residential and commercial interests. It consists of approximately 490 kms of Rural Roads, 11 Bridges and 54 km of Subdivision Roads servicing a population of more than 3,700. This is a full-time position, being responsible for implementing Councils policy in the management of a $1.7 million dollar maintenance budget and approximately nine employees in grading, snow plowing, mowing, road construction, oiling maintenance, equipment maintenance, workshop and other duties.
Requirements
Excellent budgeting, project management, and financial planning skills
Superior Communication Skills, strong relationship building skills with public, staff and suppliers;
Five years professional, technical and management experience in road maintenance and construction including project management;
Results oriented, ability to evaluate, communicate, prioritize and implement action plans
Salaries & Benefits
Salaried position, negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience, base annual salary approximately $70,000
