Description

Futuristic Industries goal is for each individual to reach his/her full potential by teaching individuals the skills necessary to live as independent as possible. SILP (Supportive Independent Living Program) staff provides the necessary support to achieve these goals. Each program is tailored to meet each individual's strength and needs.
FI is seeking an individual to work with persons with disabilities on a one to one, sometimes two to one basis depending on the individuals needs.  This position is flex hours with days, evenings and weekends and on-call.

Applicants must have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, work with minimal supervision, be organized, patient and have passion and drive for the disability sector.

Duties Include, but not limited to,
* Train and coach individuals, in all aspects of daily living, life and residential skills. This will include home management and safety, nutrition, care and storage of food, proper hygiene, cooking.
* Supervise personal finances and teach budgeting, the concepts of money and time.
* Assist in the appropriate utilization of community resources to meet the individuals social, economic, medical, educational and spiritual needs and in planning leisure time and recreational activities, etc.
