Description

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and working with the Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will ensure the consistent quality of our products by developing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducting production sample analyses in adherence with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs). Applying corporate and local facility policies, you will work in a lab environment, selecting and testing products at specified stages in the production process, as well as selecting and testing packaging material and ingredients to ensure adherence to specifications.
*Responsibilities*
Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Monitor all in-process salt and finished goods for quality compliance to Product Data Sheets (PDS).
Handle the disposition of non-conforming product
Perform Good Manufacturing Practices/Sanitation Inspections on a monthly basis including a Sanitation Audit and Glass Audit.
Assist in the investigation of customer complaints
Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Prepare graphs or charts of data and enter data into computer for analysis.
Prepare sample requests, including all paperwork and shipping forms for the Sales department.
Assume responsibility for product quality, safety and legality.
*Requirements*
Minimum Associate of Science degree
Three to four years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Practical knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and the operation of test equipment such as Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AA)
Committed to working safely and following documented operating procedures
Well organized and detail oriented
Proficient in mathematics, particularly algebra
Excellent communication skills
Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge is an asset
Comfortable with computers and office software (word processing, spreadsheets)
Positive, cooperative attitude and the ability and desire to learn
