Native Studies is an interdisciplinary academic department that offers BA, BA Honours, Masters, and special-case Ph.D. programs. We are situated in the Social Science Division of the College of Arts and Science and currently have six full-time faculty members with five additional associate and adjunct members from other departments and institutions. Native Studies is dedicated to the development of applied and theoretical investigations of Indigenous concerns and strategic community-based research. It is also dedicated to servicing the Indigenous Studies content needs of other academic programs in the university on and off-campus. We are currently undergoing a curriculum renewal process, which includes new course development and course revisions, to meet our renewed values, vision and mission. We are also going through a name change from Native Studies to Indigenous Studies. For more information on the Department, see http://artsandscience.usask.ca/nativestudies/.
