1.Perform analytical tests on flour and oat products as dictated by the laboratory sampling schedule. Results will be required to be communicated to other employees in the facility in a timely and accurate manner.
2.Incumbent must have the ability to learn all finished product standards, adhere to them and the ability to interpret standards
3.Incumbent must have basic knowledge of laboratory analytical procedures including Moisture, muffle furnace Ash, titration, pH, Leco protein, Foss Near Infrared Analysis, Farinograph testing, Falling Number, Oats thickness and pick tests and other lab tests as assigned
4.Incumbent must be able to demonstrate accuracy on all analytical procedures by running all AM ULC and AACC cross check samples and producing results which fall within the Standard Limit of Error tolerance.
5.Incumbent must have the ability to make pass/reject decisions using analytical data and comparing results to finished product standards. Rejection reports will be required to be documented in a timely fashion. Must ensure that the documentation of tests is recorded ethically, accurately and legibly.
6.Incumbent must be committed to AM ULC laboratory safety policy and procedures
7.Incumbent must gather and prepare samples each month or as required for regulatory and microbiological analysis, as well as for on-going FOSS equipment calibration
8.Incumbent will be required to accurately and safely mix chemical reagents required for analytical testing.
9.Computer skills are required for SAP data entry, COA creation and email communications
10.Must have a strong commitment to Ardent Mills ULC safety policies and procedures. Execute Lab PPE requirements as dictated by Corporate EHS policy. Incumbent must also be knowledgeable about food safety policies and procedures within Ardent Mills.
11.Any and all other duties as assigned by any salaried supervisor including duties assigned by the Senior Laboratory Technician
