Responsibilities: Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Employment Counselor will be responsible for providing career and employment-related guidance, career development assistance and labour market information and assistance to Metis individuals; providing follow-up assistance to individuals; maintaining database information and initiating follow-up reports; liaising with business and industry; partnership development; efficient and effective application of AHRDA programs and services; participating in regional needs assessment processes and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a relevant Bachelor's Degree combined with related work experience or equivalent educational qualifications and work experience; a minimum of two years experience in the delivery of services in training and/or employment; a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff and other agencies; extensive understanding of the Metis culture and employment and training needs of the Metis and an excellent understanding of labour market issues and trends within Saskatchewan.
