PELC has exciting opportunities for summer employment (JUN - AUG) to join our team of dedicated Early Childhood Educators in one of our 5 centres.

The term of these positions will begin Immediately - Aug 31, 2015

Our Early Childhood Educators work with children to create stimulating environments by following the children's lead. PELC is committed to the Play & Exploration model & encourages applicants that support this model to apply.

Current Requirements:

Experience working with children
Valid First Aid/CPR
Recent Police Record Check including vulnerable sector check

 - Maintain day care supplies and equipment
 - Assist in maintaining records of children
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
 - Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
 - Prepare and serve snacks
 - Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
 - Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
 - Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
 - Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
 - Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
