We are currently looking for a full time Class 5 Driver for our Regina location. The successful candidate will represent Prairie Oxygen, providing clients with medical gas supplies and service on an ongoing basis while adhering to safety policies and procedures. Works 4 days/week, 10 hours shifts; 1 overnight stay required every 3 weeks.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre and Post vehicle inspection of vehicle; ensures proper maintenance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles
Ensures correct loading/unloading vehicle by identifying product requirements for the day, loading product in compliance with safety and legislative requirements
Maintains safe vehicle practices and protects load in compliance with organization policies and highway regulations
Meets clients goals and needs by delivering products accordingly to daily schedule
Establishes and maintains efficient delivery service of cylinder medical gases and respiratory equipment to patients residences and institutions
Instructs clients in equipment operation and safety
Completes paperwork as required for patient records and billing
Participates in the on-call rotation
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Previous driving experience is required, ideally with Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Clean drivers abstract and criminal background check
Physically capable to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted
Must be safety conscious and a strong team member
Strong organization, problem-solving and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and able to work independently
Reliable, self motivated and committed to high standards of service
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems is preferred
