The Creative Kids Program of SaskCulture provides funding assistance to children and youth who face financial and social barriers to participation in art and culture activities. It is funded by private sponsorship and donations, with the administration supported by SaskCulture Inc. through the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. The administrative assistant supports the Creative Kids Program Coordinator and Fund Development Coordinator in the delivery of the program, fundraising and community engagement.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Processing applications,managing payment processes and bank deposits,coordinating meeting logistics and travel,and working with service providers,families,and the Give Kids a Chance Charity;
Supporting Creative Kids volunteer committees including preparing summary reports for adjudication meetings,coordinating mail-outs,and assisting with annual committee reports;
Data management of confidential records, maintaining a service provider registry and applicant database, maintaining the fundraising and donor database (Raisers Edge),and generating periodic reports;
Assisting with communication initiatives including the distribution of promotional materials,the Creative Kids website and newsletter,and social media such as Facebook, Twitter;
Providing support to fundraising and awareness events;
Working closely with SaskCulture staff, opening and distributing mail, and providing front line reception as required.
Experience working in a non-profit organization is an asset. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Saskatchewan arts and culture together with experience in computer and database applications,event coordination,and data management. Applicants must be sensitive and understanding, able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate superior communication and client service skills.
