The Collections Assistant will assist the Director/Curator, Dunlop Art Gallery in the registration of the RPL permanent collection of 346 art works (and growing), and help with presentations of the permanent collection at RPL branches, which are seen by nearly 1.5 million library patrons a year.
The candidate will have at least two years post-secondary education preferably in the field of Arts Administration, Art History, and Curatorial or Museum Studies. The candidate should be comfortable handling art work, and working with computers, with experience using Microsoft Office Programs including Word and Excel. Desired competencies include: knowledge of registration practices in exhibition production, organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
