Description

The Caring Place provides a safe and professional non-profit counselling centre where people of all ages, from young children to older adults, can find a caring professional to help them deal successfully with personal issues  regardless of their ability to pay. (www.thecaringplace.ca)

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for ensuring that every client, regardless of background, receives access to dedicated professionals who can provide much needed care within a safe environment.  The ED recognizes how difficult it is for members of the community to refer loved ones for counselling, therefore, it is their primary mission to foster relationships, to create awareness and to build trust with community leaders.  In addition to providing the leadership necessary to run a successful and respected faith-based counselling centre, this individual works to develop partnerships and sponsors that will enable The Caring Place to provide services to those most in need.

The following skills, experiences and education are important in this position:
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building partnerships with leaders across the Regina community.   Note A pre-existing inventory of relationships within the Regina community would be considered an asset.
- Previous leadership experience within the non-profit sector which would include supervising staff and building a team of paid staff and volunteers.
- An ability to work independently and without direct supervision
- A university degree or post-secondary diploma would be an asset
