Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently recruiting skilled Roofing Foremen/women (commercial) to fill 5+ F/T vacancies in the Saskatoon & surrounding area (134 Faithful Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 8H8).

$30.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on qualifications (starting wage for meeting minimum requirements is $30.00, wage scale increases based on additional experience)

Responsibilities:  

Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials as well as roofing & metal products
Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
Supervise and assist with the installation of commercial and industrial Roofing applications (all types of commercial roofing applications)
Establish & continually update job schedule, site requirements, etc.
Oversee your assigned crews and ensure they work in accordance with safety policies and procedures
Ensure all on site personnel comply with procedures, safety program requirements, work and equipment maintenance rules, document all violations, implement and recommend corrective actions as required
Act as company liaison to job superintendents & work crews
Communicate all aspects of job status (i.e. extras, schedule delays, etc. with superintendents and project manager)
Provide training to more junior level, less experienced workers


Skills & Knowledge Required:

Minimum 5 years experience as a Roofer in the commercial construction industry OR completion of a two- to three-year apprenticeship program OR Journeyman/woman certificate OR Journeyman/woman certificate equivalent
Previous experience in Foreman/woman role is preferred
Completion of secondary school diploma OR secondary school diploma equivalent is preferred
Intermediate English skills

NOTE: NOC 7219 is equivalent to NOC 7205 as per the 2011 NOC standard listing
